What to bring:
This Reykjanes Stopover tour is perfect for your Iceland stopover or if you have short time in Iceland. The tour will suit everyone visiting Iceland.
This tour offers pick ups and drop offs at the Keflavík Airport and all hotels in Keflavík and Grindavík.
This 4 hour tour takes you through one of the most beautiful areas of Iceland. We begin the tour by going to The Bridge Between Continents, next up is a short hike up a volcanic crater that was active for 30 years. From there we will drive through a beautiful lava field and see how the mid-Atlantic ridge comes to land. Next we’ll head to the most active hot-spring in Iceland Gunnuhver. This is where you really can feel the power of the nature. It is truly an amazing experience.
After we explore the magnificent Gunnuhver, we will head to Brimketill. Brimketill is known for huge waves from the Atlantic Ocean colliding with the volcanic landscape. After these stops we go see to one of the most famous tourist attraction in Iceland, The Blue Lagoon. At the Blue Lagoon you will be able to wonder around and see the shiny blue water in the black lava fields. If you wish to go in the lagoon you can buy tickets online. Along the way on the tour we stop at a local cafe down by the harbor in Gindavík. Grindavík is a beautiful fishing village located close to the Blue Lagoon. You will definitely enjoy sitting in the harbor.
We do stop at the Blue Lagoon for photos but if you want to go for a swim then you have to book the entrance on the Blue Lagoon Website. (Book at 1:30 if you are doing the tour at 9:00 but book at 16:30 if you are doing the 14:00 tour.)
