Why should I choose this tour?
This tour is the perfect tour if you are interested in exploring the Golden Circle as well as going horse riding. This tour also includes some details that not many other tours have – like having lunch at an Icelandic farm.
The day starts with a pick up at your hotel. We will then drive to the horse rental in south Iceland.
We will start the fun with a 1,5 – 2 hour horse riding tour. You will be riding on excellent riding trails in the charming countryside of Iceland. On the ride you will enjoy the views of volcanic mountains and wide meadows.
After the riding tour we will stop at the Horse Farm to have a lunch.
After lunch the bus will pick you up and you will be taken by a professional guide to see the famous Golden Circle. We start the sightseeing tour with exploring the famous Geysir geothermal area. Here you can see Strokkur geyser erupt up in the air. Strokkur is the most active geyser in Iceland. This is a sight to remember.
Next on our list is the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall – the Golden waterfall. It is simply magical to be standing next to this powerful waterfall and watching enormous quantities of water tumble into the deep gorge.
We will end the day with a visit to Thingvellir National Park. Spend some time exploring all the natural wonders and geological phenomena at Thingvellir. Thingvellir is an area of historical and geological significance.
This is a day to remember and the perfect tour to choose if you want to make the most of your day with exploring the Golden Circle and go horse riding.
The Icelandic horse is a breed of horse developed in Iceland. The horse is smaller than most horses, and some people even think they are ponies. Icelandic law prevents horses from being imported into the country and exported animals are not allowed to return so therefor the Icelandic horses are often long-lived and hardy. The Icelandic horse displays two gaits in addition to the typical walk, trot, and canter/gallop commonly displayed by other breeds.
