Tour Description

This tour offers unbelievable views and an exhilarating environment, going snowmobiling across Iceland’s second largest glacier!

Your snowmobile adventure starts with a pick up from Gullfoss Café, located by the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall. From there you will proceed towards Langjökull glacier. After arriving at our mobile glacier base camp, you will be provided with overalls, gloves and a helmet for your ride.

Your certified guide will then show you how to safely operate a snowmobile before your one-hour excursion officially starts. Langjökull is home to several enormous ice-filled volcanic craters, rimmed in by imposing volcanoes and set in the breathtaking Icelandic interior. The views from the flanks of Langjökull are quite incredible. In the distance rests Eiríksjökull, the highest mountain in west Iceland, the dome-shaped Hofsjökull, and Kerlingafjöll Mountain range.

The Glacier Snowmobile is a scenic and fun tour and perfect for those that have their own car and can meet us directly at Gullfoss!
